Craft: Done In A Day -
How to wrap a gift voucher
You will need
gift voucher with an envelope
small piece of white netting
artificial flowers
fabric rose petals
30cm wired ribbon
glue or double sided tape (to attach the petals)
Directions
1. Write your voucher and place it in the envelope, sticking on a few fabric rose petals. Then measure the net so it’s three times the longest length of the envelope.
2. Fold in the two sides of the net so it is the same width as the envelope. Bring the two sides over the top of the envelope and scrunch in the centre with your fingers.
3. Place the length of ribbon underneath the centre scrunch and tie once (the net will now look like a bow tie!)
4. Tie in two artificial flowers. As the ribbon is wired you can then curl the ribbon ends around your fingers for a polished look. This is an easier alternative to tying a bow
Tips
- You won’t need a gift tag as your details will be inside
- Spray with a light floral fragrance so it smells nice too
- Small remnants and roll ends of wired ribbon can be used for this project
- To save money, many stores will let you buy half a metre of fabric or ribbon
